What causes the trans to rev up during shifts
A6 trans my car once in a while it acts weird
In between I think it's the 2nd to 3rd it like revs up while shifting under normal driving conditions....it shifts fine at WOT Anyone have this issue? |

Improper shift timing vs trans pressure, or the 3-5-r clutch pack is getting toasted. The 6l80s are a different animal to tune, if shift in ing is too tight with too low of a pressure it will flare. When a flare occurs the tcm sees the shift took too long and adjusts line pressure to try and meet the desired shift time.
I'd start with having your tuner log the shift times and pressures and see what is going on. It may be tune or mechanical. At your power level, mechanical problems arise from tuning issues most of the time. |
