My Story :)

Ive been looking around on these forums for a while now and you guys have a ton of useful information, great job.

so i first started thinking about buying the new Camaro in June, and immediately decided i was going to buy one. i sat in a couple over the past couple months and i liked it a lot.

So Saturday came around and my father had the check engine light come on in his Trailblazer EXT/LT so he asked if i wanted to come and look at the Camaro's again so i said what the hell i wasn't doing anything.

So get the truck checked and the engine temp is running a little low no biggie but then we went and looked at the Camaro's. One of the salesmen came right up to us and talked for a minute but said they didn't have the Camaro (books/brochures) so we sat in the car again and i had NOT even thought about taking on for a test drive yet, hadn't even crossed my mind.

So my dad knows the General Manager because we have bought previous cars from there and they have helped us a lot when we had problems with another Trailblazer we bought from them.

So i said i was planning on buying one at some-point and we discussed what type and options and stuff and he says well we have an LT we just got in you want to take it for a ride? So i immediately light up and have a huge smile on my face even though its raining like crazy out and i got to take it for a test drive.

Only had 9miles on it i absolutely loved every minute of it, the only thing as some people have said is the sight lines but ill adapt to it It rides great, looks great, sounds great, great gas mileage, great price, what else can you ask for?

So come this Dec I'm planning on putting 9 or 10 grand down and getting a black 2lt/rs with an auto transmission and a sunroof(it will definitely be nice to have this in the summer to get additional air in) I'm 22 and this really is a midlife crisis a lot has changed this year and i want something i will enjoy for the next 10yrs

oh and when we left the General manager had a brochure that wasn't supposed to be in yet lmao, Great guy the General Manager, and a great dealership!

At 22 it doesn't count as a "midlife crisis," you're still just young and stupid. I'm 21 and I get this speech daily...

thx, and i have to say even though we had tropical storm danny pouring the rain down on my test drive i was getting so much attention in the car it was unbelieavable.

There was this one intersection where a family in a charger stopped in the middle of the intersection, and were all staring at me in the camaro. we didnt have a stop sign and they almost caused an accident because they didnt move other than that it was FUN!

I sure hope that 22 is not a midlife crisis...if so, I guess I am the walking dead....I am more than double that.... My niece I raised is your age and I think of her as a kid.... I know she is not...she graduated college and is married now... When I was your age, I was in put in charge of a hospital (on weekends)... I have been in the hospital business longer than you have been alive now.... Boy do I feel old now....

Don't let the haters sweat you. There's a lot of people who wish they could drive a 304-hp V6 at 22. I hope you enjoy for 10 years and more.

I bought my 350hp V8 Firebird when I was 22 and I bought it with my own $$$$ that I earned by working and saving as much as possible so I had a HUGE down-payment...I owned it for 8 yrs and had over 108,000 miles of "driving bliss" with it until I sold it :( to start a family...........

Now I get to enjoy my "2nd childhood" by driving my new Camaro forever...

I'm 25 and I've been chalking up my Camaro order to a mid-midlife crisis. I figure when it is a true midlife crisis I'd get something like a Corvette. lol
