Gen 1's For Sale...

At Accel Auto Group in Irving, TX: Anyone know anything about these two Camaros? I'm looking for a Gen 1 in very good shape, at a reasonable price. Thanks for any info.

That 67 is a spray bombed turd. The price of 20K is over prices by about 5-6 minimum. The 69 is the same thing and looks like it has subframe rust issues. They both sit high enough to be 4x4's and seeing that the paint is not that quality of a job any body work and rust repairs will be suspect. I say the 69 is over priced by about 8-10K.

Why those prices? Because you could buy 7-10K camaro and put the same amount in it to be at around 16k in and know what you have and have better work done.

Do lots of home work first

IMHO - Looking at the picks it not obvious to me that they are "WAY" over priced.

I have a number of Camaros and with a classic restoration in this price range check the originality and documentation closely.
The better you buy it now the less future mods will cost in time and money. If it does not have classic original value with good docs you may never recoup even your original investment after spending money fixing or restoring it further. Originality and documentation is important above $20K. Without good docs know what it is and call it a "tribute" especially when you are cornered by one of those purest classic car guys.

Mostly you should enjoy it and not be afraid to drive it.

If you are really interested - hire a third party classic car professional to go look at it and give you a breakdown. That's what I did when I found my wife's 69 in Ohio for sale by a private party. The third party was a local classic car professional and was more than happy to provide me an inspection report as well as a video showing it running. When I arrived in Ohio I knew what to expect and did not waste any time. They also helped me get a quality transport to ship it to me in AZ.
