Hi everyone, totally new to the forums but wanted to share with other Camaro owners.

First off, I LOVE the car, SS is Rally Yellow with the black stripe. I ordered mine in May and lucked out when another person backed out of the exact car I wanted so the wait time was only about 5 weeks.

The car gets 100's of looks and I can't even finish a meal at a restaurant without having to pop the hood for onlookers.

The only thing I don't like so far are the clowns that tell me EVERY option that I got wrong and that they would have done differently. I have gotten so many backhanded comments from people it amazes me. " Its really cool, but you what you should have done..." is how many conversations start.

I am 37 years old and would feel horrible if I ever said that to someone about their new car. In any case, just wondering how many people are in the same boat.

Love the car and am a Camaro fan for life.

yup jealousy is a you know what. They are just mad they don't have one plain and simple.

I know how you feel,deal with it bout everyday myself,two things that I have a really hard time dealing with,and that is ignorance,and disrespect,you just have to have patience if not you'll friggin SNAP!All you can do is TRY to edgamacate um.....

These really are not back-handed compliments. They are just comments made by rude people with poor interpersonal skills. A back-handed compliment would be something like "I like the FX on your Camaro. It makes the car look so much better."

The funniest comment yet was made by a guy that joined a group that already accosting us...

His comment:
"You should....never mind, your car needs nothing."

You should treat them the same way they treat you. Tell them their hair looks bad or they should have worn a cooler shirt. You are obviously better than them since you actually HAVE a Camaro.

It's just jealousy. Even though I don't have the car yet, I myself am already hearing the comments. I carpool to work and the guys I ride with say it looks like a Challenger. I know it's jealousy cause the guy drives a gold 2006 Honda Civic EX. The other guy that rides with us drives a beat up 2000 Hyundai Sonata with tape holding up the windows, gas door ripped off, faded paint and a tail light with clear red plastic over it and he said it doesn't look as good as he thought. I was like,"Have you ever looked at what YOU drive?!" All I can do is laugh because you can smell the jealousy pouring out and the way they can't look you in the eye.

I just laugh when people make those comments to me. All I say is "would you like to buy those/that for me so I can have it the way YOU want it". So far no one has given me any money.

I would just look at them and say oh well it's paid for guess I'm stuck with it. Lol that should make them even more jealous.
