Question Warranty after accident

So a month and a half ago I was rear ended into another car. There was a lot of damage ( > $13K worth) but it was all body work. My car is just a year old, has 4600 miles. Does anyone know if this impacts the manufacturer warranty?

If it were all body work, I cannot see how it would.

Good question....if there was any mechanical damage was it replaced/repaired by dealer or authorized service center?

Most likely the repaired items would be covered by the repair shop and everything else would still be covered by the manufacturer. Been going through this myself, repairs were not done 100% correct and the repair shop has been fixing them.

I think both of the above are good points. I'm no warranty expert but this is the internet so I'll attempt to point you in the right direction

The number one thing they will look at if you have a warranty claim is probably where and what was replaced and if OEM parts and services were used. If it was done by your dealer then you're hopefully OK as they SHOULD be doing this, if not it's really up to you to find out but you should have been aware during the repair of this. Outside of that, depending on the "warranty" work if they can tie the issue back to fault of the accident they quite possibly could deny the factory warranty for that case (who knows?) but that opens up a whole new can of worms as to who is actually responsible to pay IMO lol.

this. it's still covered, but GM isn't going to warranty another shops work or parts.
