A6 shifting problem.
I have had an on going problem with my trans. Its has not been the same since the stall was installed. It does not shift hard in any gear anymore. It is really sloppy. Under normal driving it sometimes revs/ slips when shifting. Im not sure if it is the trans or the stall is bad. It was tuned prior and shifted great and tight. Any one else had this issue.

Was it retuned after the stall was installed? It has to be or wont run properly.

Most 2600+ stall converters. The tune would need adjustments for the tranny to work correctly.

Pretty sure it was tuned after install. It was not shifting at wot at first because of low fluid. Refilled tranny and added about a half of quart extra. Would the trans relearn anything after this that would affect the original tune in it. I need to get a data log on the car asap.

If it was slipping due to low fluid. You will need to reset shift adapts and get the trans returned for the stall and have them up the solenoid pressures. May will need to play with lock-up slip %sand when to apply. Will also have to do with what type of converter you have. Single or multi-clutch unit.

How long have you had the stall in? If you've driven a 100-200 miles the adapt reset probably isn't going to help. If it is flaring shifts at part throttle, and fluid level is good, its likely a tuning issue.

Ryan (Rhino70) above is a strong remote tuner, he has tuned a lot of these cars and knows his way in around all the tables. I asked him to tune my car a few weeks ago and he improved on what I had, street driving and for racing.
Mushy shifts could be a lot of things, fix it before you hurt it.
