FREAK 2011 CAMARO LS3

OK. So I got the blackmagicwoman dyno'ed. I got to say the numbers I got were VERY unexpected. The car is stock. Bought in Az in Feb 2011 by my brother new. I have since taken over the payment for my brother and drive it often. Cold/rain/sun/hot whatever. It has about 29k miles and was ran with regular gas until I assumed ownership. I only fill up with 93 premium now and I did do the fuse pull to reset the ECM. I used Mobil1 for the only oil change I have done. I drive spirited when I safely can and drive the kiddos around time to time. So the dyno run was a dynosaur performance inc in saginaw, tx during a hosted dyno day. It was a dynojet and 2 runs were performed back to back one in 3rd and the other in 4th.(not sure why that would matter). I am just looking for an answer of whether or not this is possible or not. Also there was other stock camaros tested on the same dyno that day during the run. Those cars achieved anywhere from 360-375 rwhp. Any comments, questions would be appreciated.

It's high, but dynos vary. Interested to see which tuners chime in.

The alternative is that the car isn't really stock!

Interesting, especially since other stock Camaros ran that same day and were in the 370 hp range. You are making the power of SS Camaros with headers and a tune. Either your car has something you don't know about or it's a serious factory freak. Are you sure your brother kept it stock?

Yes its stock. My brother is not that mechanically inclined nor did he have it worked on. The exhaust manifolds, cats, mufflers are still there with the factory air box. Other than tearing the engine apart i just don't know. My brother has been asked, when he had it, if it was stock because of the exhaust tone. Guess Ill have to dyno again to confirm the numbers.

what were the numbers? im not downloading it. It was a dyno day. The dynos they use on those very so much its ridiculous. Didnt someone post a modded Camaro ss that the dyno said only had 200hp. then some pos stock mustang dynoed way more then it should. The dynos owner tunes mustangs so he cooked the books. Iv read several threads on dyno day runs that didnt make sense.

I should have bought a ZL1

Remember these are STD numbers and not SAE so they are going to be high.

BINGO, did noticed that. SAE should be 360-370ish

Only other way is track time

So basically everyone is saying his numbers are non corrected to SAE which means he has an LS3. The other numbers ne quotes would match up for uncorrected L99 pulls. Makes sense.

Way to burst his bubble guys. Jeez.

Finished reading up on STD vs SAE. There is a crazy correction formula that is taken in to account for SAE. Guess I'm going to have to go to a test and tune day at a local track
