So he put resonators on this job. I've seen tis before and didn't think this was a true muffler delete b'c of the resonatore. Do you have to do resonators?

What does a muffler delete entail? Will it cause you to fail inspection?

I really have no clue here just looking for options.

well according to the slp site their set up is just a muffler delete and according to the website it is emission legal in all states. i dont know about the resonators. i m pretty sure must of the people that have done this(v8's) did nothing with the resonators, could be wrong though.

He did straight pipes before but I think he deleted that vid because he hated the way it sounded and that is why he added the resonators.

I believe it was Derin11 that had tried the straight pipes but then ended up adding a Borla setup on his car. He has since removed his youtube vids of the the straight pipes, but if your still really wanting to see/hear a straight pipe setup, you could try asking him if he can still provide you any links to those vids.

I just want to see what it sounds like because what some like is not necessarily what I would like. I know the SS Straight pipe vid is the sickest exhaust I've heard so far so I wanted to see what it sounded like on the v6.

Maybe I'll just go see a muffler shop and see what they think. I'm thinking about new tips anyway (black chrome) so we could play with it and see what I liked and if nothing else I'll have them put my mufflers back on.

Always use Google search vs the site search, guarantee you'll find it on google a LOT easier than the site search (maybe we should make the site search google powered? )

We tried going with a straight pipe.. while some might find it acceptable... well... we couldn't stop laughing at how horrible it sounded... especially when we were on the highway at WOT.... it was bad...
