Quick question about Alky kit

My tuner has a complete Alky kit from a customers HHR. Does anyone know if the kits are cross compatible? I'm under the assumption I'd have to switch out some parts but is it even worth dicking with it?

Almost every kit out there is universal. They are not car specific. As long as it has pump, injector, wiring, hoses, and everything needed for installation, youre good to go. The only thing you may have to purchase is a bigger injector. I highly doubt the injector that worked on an HHR will work on a supercharged V8, even if it was the turbo edition. If its a good enough deal, go for it.

Alcohol fuels are some pretty corrosive stuff, loves to eat aluminum. I deal with it dirt track racing with an IMCA modified. Its pretty much a routine maintenance thing to pull apart the carb each weekend and blast it down with some tri-flow. We drain the fuel system of methanol and then fill the fuel cell with racing gas to be sure all the Methanol is out of the system. Makes great horsepower, but requires much more attention in your maintenance program.
