Two dealers two lies??? Please HELP!

I need help with ordering a camaro..

I ordered one already from a dealership yesterday, he said that there are 20 people ahead of me and that it would take a month or two before it is picked up because there are people ahead of me. He said I would be called in when it was my time o order but.....he did something and printed out a spec sheet with an order number...

Another dealer told me today that they could order one and that it would take 30 days for the GM to pick up the order. There was no wait on orders. They are a small town dealer with only one in stock. He said that the large dealership had 15 camaros in stock and had to remove one from their lot before they could place the order, and that since they are asking for over 50k on some of the camaros, it might take awhile.

I need to know what to do, someone tell me what sounds more accurate please.

Not enough info really. No way to back up what they're saying. The dealer that gave you an order number at least put you in the system, but that's easy to manipulate.

Bottom line is, if you don't feel good about what either is telling you, go a couple more hours down the road and find another that you do feel is trustworthy and get whatever you get, in writing.

Most dealers worth a S have pre orders and not all have been filled so if you order your going to wait. Depending on the allocation allotment of the dealer your order might get put into the system 1100, but not excepted for production at that time 3300. You should get a code once the order is placed from the dealer. If your dealer has sold more then their allocation it might take some time before yours goes into production.

Yes I have adealer config # NMxxxx

Is it possible that one dealer will be faster than the other??? The dealer that I ordered from claimed to have bought more camaros from other dealers and has tons on the lot...maybe he is over-allocated???

Pick a dealer from the MSRP dealers thread. I did, and I'll have my car soon.

Yes one dealer can be faster then another depends on size and allocations the larger dealers get more so their orders get filled sooner then a smaller dealer. Our dealer had eight allocations we ended up being the first so seven other are still waiting. We got ours two weeks ago and ordered Oct. 21 to give you an time frame and dealer size. Be very careful on price a ton of dealers a jacking up the price over MSRP and you should get a price guarantee in writing at MSRP. Yes some dealer are buy from other then charging over MSRP , because they have sold their allocations.

If it works for you then make some phone calls, but do some checking on this sight about some of the dealers and member on their experiences. Most of the good dealer sold their allocations plus and the bad dealers charging over MSRP have them on the lot. Like I said if you find some one that's honest and will price guarantee then it's worth the wait. Since we have had our car it's unbelievable the price gouging that's going on when you start talking with people and what they were told by local dealers.
