Dealer stripes vs ebay stripes - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

What do you guys think about ebay stripes, i found these for $34.99. They are advertised as being AVERY brand.

On the chevy website, they are priced at $450, why the huge price? do you guys think its worth a shot to order from ebay?, my local shop charges $50 for install only

Little lost if they suck.... Avery has made stickers for decades. Well, for office supplies anyways, so I assume they can make sticky stuff in a larger scale.

I got some on eBay (I dnt remember the brand) but they were great. Had them installed almost 3 yrs ago and no problems

I might give them a try $85 including professional install its pretty good. They also offered me to tint it for $120 as a package price.

the only thing Im concerned about is the color, I cant really tell if its the red Im looking for. Either way I can remove them if I dont like them right, no damage to clear coat or paint?

Yea. I think I just have to add heat to remove them. The problem I had was ordering from to different eBay stores and my reds didn't match.

I got mine from GMPartsDirect and had a local Chevy dealer install them. I originally bought some on Amazon for around $50. They were garbage.

You should check out GMpartsdirect.com. I have bought many items for my ZL1 from there. My paint guy gets discounts from the dealership and GMpartsdirect.com is cheaper than what he gets. Matter of fact I just bought the decklid decal because the dealership that replaced my supercharger damaged my car and that was one of the things that got damaged. Well to make a long story short, they gave me a solid black stripe for a SS not a ZL1. The installer didn't know they were different. So I found it on the site for about $70.

I bought mine from Taobao.com (Camaro and I live in China) for about $15 including the gills decals. My wife and I installed them ourselves, outside on a windy and dusty day. They have been on for over a year and still look new, I have never seen the dealer installed in real life so I don't have a comparison. I think that mine were cut from 3M vinyl. I'm pretty happy with mine, the guys at the local speed shop complemented me on the stripes too.

You should always order from the same place and if possible the same time. Different rolls of the same color if made in different lots could have a color difference, even if it's the same brand of vinyl.

Well supposedly these come precut to fit the camaro and the kit comes with all the stripes you need
