Question Solo hfc or Mace Ported IM

For my tax return treat i would like to do one of these mods. what i would like to know from peoples personal experience is which one would yield more power?
the only thing that i am worried about for the hfc is that i already have a magnaflow catback and it sounds perfect and i am a little worried that the hfc will bring out the rasp or just obnoxious exhaust note on my setup. As for the IM i already have a isolator and ported TB so adding the ported IM would complete that setup. from others personal experience which would be better to go with.
Before you say why dont i get bbk headers for the same price for the hfc, i decided this is the best way because the hfc is a "simple" bolt-on part. shops are telling me $500-600 to install headers.....no thanks.

if you have any sound clips feel free to post the link please.

Shops in your area are ripping you off for LT header installs. You simply cut and unbolt the old ones out and replace it with the BBk's. i don't know whats so difficult that they need to charge you 5+ Hrs of labor.

You could easily do the header install in your garage. I never installed headers before and I did mine in 1 night. Only problem will be the passenger side bolts, they are a pain to get to.

Same ish i said. ill try others but it seems like work is slowing down around here and shops are trying to make a quick buck by jacking up the price.

I'm leaning towards SOLO HFC as well. Its something I'd love to add to my setup, but I can't imagine paying 700 bucks. If I ever find a used set at a decent price I might be game then.

I've heard those videos before...sounds good but its a shame they are so short. Plus I'd love to hear more RPM ranges as well, not just WOT.

If you add these, get us some vids lol.

That right there is the reason I decided against solo hfc. How in the world $700 is justified is beyond me but at that price you can pick up some full longtubes for less and get more gains. Which is what I did. If you really don't want to mess with your exhaust sound, I would suggest not modifying it anymore. Longtubes will make the car substantially louder. I think your exhaust might do a good job of taming that but since you don't want to chance it, I'd do the ported manifold. If you can get a hold of the person still doing the porting

Long tube headers are only about a 2 hour install. It should be more like a $175-250 install. Between the two, Solo high flow cats will give you much greater gains.

This is why i dont have them yet. im not trying to give them a bad name but to me they made the price so high because no one else has them on the market. but since my local shops are acting like they have never touched headers before i was left with this option. im going to pull the trigger and get them next month. after i saw those vidz i was ok with the exhaust note. i just remembered one shop i haven't checked yet so ill talk to them this week. my plan is to go S/C or do a custom front mount single turbo build by the end of this year. when i talk to the shop if the turbo build is a go ill hold off on the hfc because i might not use them with the turbo build. the one thing that sucks with a turbo build is that i have to wait for HPT so i can do some real tuning. UUGHH too many choices!

also if i do go with the HFC's ill make some real vidz, those were way too short but it was just enough for me to make up my mine because the vidz with the solo catback i dont like.

SOLO hfc's will yield more power than longtubes? I thought it was the other way around?
