Old school stripe look

I like these, kind of reminds me of the old school 69 stripes.

Input, yeah or nah?

I'm not sure. The section of the stripe that curves down on the side of the front fender seems out of place. These stripes seem to be a hybrid of the '68 SS stripes and the '69 hockey stripes. I do not know whether it might look better extending the stripe around the fender on that flat spot that narrows as it meets the side view mirror and getting rid of the drop-down section.

I have spent a ridiculous number of hours playing around with striping ideas on this car and it just doesn't lend itself to the "old school" styles. It may be inspired by the old cars but there's nothing about this new body that's even close to old school. This is NOT a retro design; it's a true artist's sculpture with hardly a straight line or surface in it. The old cars tended to be flattish and kind of boxy which is why they were easy to dress up with stripes and graphics to enhance their look. Not this car. Less is more and it's really difficult to enhance the look without screwing up the flow of the body shape.

I always loved that old wide band around the nose look on the old Camaros but it just doesn't work on this new body style.

Sadly the only thing that could be pulled off with this car are Rally Stripes (long or short, either way) and hockey stick stripes. It's really hard to get creative with this design.

I don't like it because it makes the car look like it has a moustache.

I like the idea but as stated it doesn't flow well. I haven't seen anyone come up with a design that really works yet.
