Hard to say. Sure, he could have made different choices.... But he could also have been killed just as easily if the teen did indeed have a gun.

Not guilty. If a guy looked at me and said "You're dead!" and then proceeded to pull something that I perceived to be a gun or a weapon of some sort, I would have acted the same why in self defense just like he did.

My fear is after the Zimmerman trail, what the racial ramification this trial will cause.

Would not want to speculate without all of the facts. Hope he has a good defense attorney, the prosecutor obviously felt there was enough evidence to issue the warrant.

Why mess with someone over loud music of all things at a convince store. That's what makes no sense. It isn't like they were parked outside his home. Go in, get your shit and go home. That would have been so much easier for him and everyone involved.

This - there's no reason he should have said anything to the people in the SUV, they have the right to listen to their music, he had the right to move away from them if he didn't like it. You shouldn't be allowed to start something and then claim self defense or stand your ground

I'm saying guilty from what I've heard. how many times do you pull up next to someone who's blasting music that's offensive? Often. You don't say anything , you mind your business.
he shot the guy, then he left, and claims he didn't think anyone got hit.

sure.

Guilty. He should have turned a deaf ear. Loud music may be obnoxious but he is not the audio police.

If the music was loud enough to cause him pain because of his "ear damage" I really doubt he would have been able to hear all those comments so clearly which supposedly made him fear for his life.

Well, I don't know the law there in terms of noise ordinance. So they may not have had the right to listen to it that loud.

That being stated, I think he'll go down. Two main reasons. He said he fired four at the car and then they left. And then he said he fired four more times as they were fleeing. The second round of shots can in no way be construed as self defense. Then not calling the police was a big problem.

So maybe had he not fired the second group of shots, and had he immediately called the police, maybe it could have been seen as self defense or stand your ground or whatever, but that's not the way it went down.

Further, even if he were to get off the murder charge, I don't think he can dodge all of the charges.

I'm not attorney of course, just my opinion.

As for the guys in the car, unfortunately they also could have taken steps to avoid the situation. It really doesn't matter who was the asshole first, either side could have "been the bigger man" and walked away.

Wasn't there but this just like the most of the Florida shootings evolving teen deaths seem fishy to me. Loud music pull a gun shoot the person over it, text before the movie start shoot them for it and if someone in a hoody walking your neighborhood that you don't know shoot them. Wow Florida, what the hell is going down there? He is guilty and he knows he screwed up big time hence the statement that the Vic pulled what looked like a shotgun from under a seat. He also claimed he had time to open his glovebox, pull his weapon from it's holster, pull the slide and then fire rounds into the other car. Yea that sounds legit to me.

Noise ordinance does not give anyone the right to shoot someone.
