I was wanting to know where the top and center straps mount? Do they have a set for the Camaro?

Depends on the set you get, the Rallye 3 uses the factory rear seat belt mount bolts and the factory front mounts, there is no submarine belt, the design of the Rallye 3 doesn't need it. IIRC the Rallye 4 has a dual shoulder harness and like rallye 3 uses the rear seat belt mounts.

More like doesn't "have" it. The Schroth site even lists them under "Tuning" because they could not pass any race sanctioned tech and there is a reason for that. I would suggest 6 point "race" belts. Anti-submarine is very important.
Check out this thread and get a bar and 6 points of you are serious about tracking otherwise I suggest you just keep the factory 3 point. NEVER use the rear seatbelt mounts...they are to far below your shoulders...NOT SAFE! http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=330579 |

The rear mount are not below the shoulders in the ZL1 and I am 6 ft 2 we are talking the upper seat belt attachment.
I would just make a bar set up with rear seat back removed, then no brace is needed and back seats can be used by just installing the seat back. Last edited by Skylane765; 03-11-2014 at 12:11 PM. |

ok...my mistake because I have seen so many dopey bmw set ups with schroth going to the back lower seat belts....people actually market this as being safe.
So if you use the upper belt attachment point...is that not only at a single point on the side of the car? and not in line with your shoulder at all???....or do you mean making a bar going from this point on each side of the car across???...if so, just a cross bar I suspect will not handle the load hence these 3 harness bar designs with multiple anchor points and imho the bk being the best. |
