R1 Concepts D/S Rotor Upgrade
So I got my car on May 6, 2009, and have had it for 16 months now. Earlier this year I upgraded my wheels to the 20" SS/RS Polished wheels, before I had 19" silver painted. Over time I have notice the rotors starting to rust, and the look is horrible! Over time it will probably start corroding the polished wheels. I don't drive in the rain if I can help it, and it stays in a garage. The rotors still corroded pretty bad and dirty up the wheels constantly.
So then I searched for a upgrade, and a lot of rotors out there are really expensive! Then someone led me to the R1 Concepts thread who started making rotors for the 2010 Camaro. They were $370 including shipping. A very cheap price compared to others out there, hopefully they are still great rotors! Received them from UPS today, and should hopefully install them this week. Box weighed 70lbs., UPS guy was struggling haha, it was funny. Before:   After:

I just got mine from Granatelli the other day. They are for an ss. I almost broke my back when I went to pick up the box. The ones for the brembos weigh 102lbs. Ill post pics when I get them installed. Paid 432 shippied through jegs.

Sorry it took so long to get the instal pics, been real busy!
The rotors are awesome!!! Didn't notice a whole lot of difference in stopping, maybe just a tad. They look great and I love the finish. Give the guys at R1 a try! Cool sunset when I got home from instal! |
