Question about maryland state inspection?

I just bought a car from VA and even though its VA inspected I don't know for sure its going to pass Maryland inspection. The problem is the tire pressure monitoring system has a problem and the check tire light stays on. The dealer is saying that the previous owner changed the rim and the stem doesn't have the original monitoring system. So does anyone know if that would fail me on a MD inspection ?

I really doubt that would fail being that it's a convenience. It would be like them failing you for volt gauge not working. It's not really required for safe operation.
