Automatic Trans Question

Has anyone had a situation where you put the shifter into D or R and the car would not move. (2013 6 with auto). This happened once and after pushing or rocking the car a couple of times then the trans worked. I've driven numerous times since and not had the same type problem. Hate to take to the dealer when it only happened once.

It's very possible that the brake pads adhered to the rotors and that stopped the car from moving when put into gear.

If either the car was driven in the rain prior to parking or it was washed and it sat long enough for the rotors to rust some that could prevent it from moving but you should be able to give it a little gas and it should move. Do you use your parking brake?

Happened to me when my car sat a month this winter.

Car wouldn't go, had to give it more gas and heard a clunk
in the rear.
I assume it was the pads stuck to the rotors.
