13 sec. GMC 2500 diesel

Not too shabby for a 3 to 4.5 ton truck!

A little weight reduction and it will smoke your camaro. Seriously though, any truck that can run in the 13's or less can haul. I myself was looking into buying a 2009 Nissan Titan, lowering it a few inches ( 2 or 3 ), new rims, new tires, maybe getting it painted matte black and putting a supercharger under the hood. Have a nice car, and then a nice truck. Drive one during the week, and the other on the weekend.

Those GM turbo diesels can make almost 1,000 FT/Lbs of torque for very little money, and in 4WD have traction you would not believe! Great sleeper vehicles. Who would think a HUGE, heavy truck could haul that much ass?

Hell, my 4.8L gas Silverado is no slouch, and all I did was a CAI, cat back and tune. Of course, the cargo helps a bit too with the competition!

most of them launch in 4WD then switch to 2WD after the 60ft mark. diesels are cool

Gotta love GM shift on the fly. Works till it pukes and then some, says my buddy's 95' Silverado. Still engages fine after the output shaft on the front diff exploded in a blaze of glory last winter..

3 hours pulling it out in -2F weather; needless to say he got some beer for it out of sympathy. The Truck got Royal purple.

That is correct. Thats what i do with my truck, she runs a 13.2. All it takes to do that is a tuner, injectors and a turbo. I love diesel trucks.

Can't say the same for Ford Output shafts though.. I'd never use the Exploder's SOTF system.. Ever. The whole knob setup just has Catastrophic Transfer Case Failure written all over it..

Well to my memory i dont ever think i have seen a Ford at the track. Cummins and Duramax are common, Cummins usually more so. I can honestly say that i can not remember a powerstroke ever making a run.

Thats movin. Im pretty much done racing mine. Ive destroyed 5 transmissions now, not wanting to do a 6th. I think I would be a 12 second truck if i would have kept the stock tires. But im running 37s. The 2 door short beds are better drag trucks anyway. Mines a 4 door, so im loosing the weight battle all the way around. However it is fun to destroy a mustang on the road WHILE PULLING A TRAILER. Is fun to kill a mustang in the Camaro, but its so much more gratifying to do it in a 4 ton truck.

Running 37's and you still have a drive train Man you could kill every Mustang with some different tires, plus a whole lot more

My truck is a 2005 Chevy 3500 dually crewcab with 19.5" wheels and will still run 13.7 with a stock turbo and injectors. here is a couple awsome trucks that the guy that does my Efi programming drives. The first is a street legal truck but was built to just drag race. The second is his twin turbo Daily driver. These things are awesome, either one will smoke these camaros.
