Rear Trailing Arm, Outer Bushing HELP!!

I was up grading my rear trailing arms and outer bushings and found that the outer bushing are going to be a pain. I am trying to find any pointers or tricks to replacing them out. Any suggestions thanks.

Parts i am installing are BK006 - Bushing Kit, Rear Trailing Arm, Outer

http://bmrsuspension.com/?page=products&productid=460

And TCA026 - Trailing Arms, Rear, Polyurethane Bushings

http://bmrsuspension.com/?page=products&productid=476

Now I put the arms on and just didn't mess with the bushing till i find the best way to replace them. I don't know of a tool that will fit to press them out so I am thinking about using a air hammer and pushing the center out and then cutting the rest of the rubber out let me know if there is a better way thanks.

I used a 2-jaw puller when I did mine. I just clamped the jaws around the part of the spindle where the factory bushing is installed and used a short "sacrificial" socket on the end of the threaded rod to push the bushing out. It's a little cumbersome, but in the end, it worked for me. I've also seen guys use a threaded rod with a couple big sockets, washers and nuts to rig up their own bushing removal tool. The trailing arm bushings are fairly easy compared to the diff bushings or the rear upper control arm bushings.....just wait 'til you get to those!!!

Great Post, thanks for the assist! Yes, trimming off the rubber edges is also highly recommended. Forgot about that part.

If you go to the DIY section in the top there is a sticky thread that is basically a library that contains links to tons of various DIYs other people have made.

pulled one side with a hole saw bit washer and nut setup was a little tedious, smoked the other side out with my b-tank. It got kinda smelly but was much easier.

Cut off the lip on one side, use a 2 or 3 jaw puller and a large washer to push it out. Very easy.
