stainless power headers

another happy customer here! this afternoon me and a friend installed them in about four hours with hand tools and floor jacks. i already had a rotofab intake installed and ported throttle body. next up will be a tune. this is an l99 vehicle so the tune should be the icing on the cake. i will be using hp tuners and plan on going with pcm for less for the tune. nice deep mellow sound with the slp axle back that was on the car when i purchased it. its amazing the difference it made without the tune. did not realize how restrictve the factory catalytic converters are. one question i did have did anyone else have a rattle from the rear crossmember after the headers were installed? i did keep the factory resonator.

Is it hitting the tunnel brace? That's a common thing when you do exhaust mods. There's a trick to keeping the piping up high enough so it won't hit the brace once they relax.

I put the jack under my H pipe before I tightened everything, drove it for 2 days and no issues yet

This works or even easier is to put a 2X4 between the pipes and the tunnel brace, then tighten everything up.

+1!!!!!

I have the mild to wild installed, but love the sound so much that 90% of the time the flaps are WIDE open.

I must say at times it has a bit more rasp than I like, but the overall sound is so amazing I dont want to lose that by adding a resonated x-pipe.

If there's rattle in the crossmember I'd suggest adding a couple of washers between the body and crossmember.
