Stencils/Decals/Headlights
Hey everyone! I've been sifting through the stiping threads and lighting threads for about two weeks now, but I have yet to find a decent answer to my question, So I figured I'd make a new thread about it.
I'm looking for three different things: 1) I want to get a stripe package that mimics the Mustang's Pinstripe on the lower door. I've got a decent Picture: Note, I don't want the ridiculous Yankees stuff, But I really like that stripe style (On the bottom of the door). I haven't really been able to find any kind of seller that duplicates that. 2) All over the place I'm seeing really nice Decals with "Chevrolet" in gorgeous script , and also standard block print. I wanted to find a script stencil to fit into the chevrolet bowtie that's on the inside of the hood, and I also wanted a decal in block print to fit along the edge of my engine cover. 3) I bought a non-RS, however I want the RS HID headlights/Halos. I need to know where I can buy the complete headlight assembly (and how much i can expect to spend on it) As well as whatever else I need to know about installing them. Forgive a newbie, but I know that Xenon lights need a special power supply and harness. I've found the AAC harnesses that I can use http://www.automotivelightstore.com/bixenonharness.aspx , But I really don't know what else I'm going to need. I'm Tecnhically and mechanically savvy, I'm just new to car modifications. Thanks in advance for your help. Like I said, I realize that this information is on this forum, but it's so scattered and bueried in hundreds of posts that I figured it'd be easier to just ask it all up front. Thanks! While I'm at it. Does anyone know if you can get the rear diffuser kit alone. I don't really want the rest of the ground effects package, I just want that diffuser. I don't know about the rest but I can help with the HID's. You can order them though your dealer but OEM HID's cost $800 per side just for the headlight assembly, the ballast (which is the power supply you was thinking of) and the harness cost extra not to mention they require special hacking, cutting and splicing of the factory harness (not something you should do yourself). Depending on labor total will run you about $2,000.
AAC also has an alternative that is just as good and much cheaper then OEM HID's. If you don't want to drop $2,000 on lights you can look into their HID's. |

We have the template for the Mustang Stripes you have shown. I can measure my Brothers Camaro and make sure we get you the proper length and width. We can add any text you want in the stripes. Email me for more details through our website.

Thanks very much guys, I appreciate the feedback.
Draco: I was sort-of expecting ridiculous prices for OEM HID's... I've looked at the AAC HID's and, in the end, that's probably what I'll go with, But there's still something thats really nice about the black backplate that the HID/Halo fits into on the OEMs. That's really what I want. It's too bad no one makes any aftermarket retrofittings for the headlights, expecially AAC, considering the fact that you've already got to tear the headlight apart to install their halos... autoguy: I'll be emailing you from the "Contact us" link on your website when I get home from work today. Thanks! -SOS |
