Need advice (next mod)
Hey guys,
I just received a $500 bonus from work that I wasn't expecting and I want your opinion on where this money would be best spent in making my 2011 Camaro SS (L99) faster/stronger. Here is a brief list of my mods. Any thoughts or suggestions would be great. Magnacharger TVS2300 with 3.4 front pulley LT 1 7/8" headers High-flow cats Borla S-type ZR1 plugs CAI Inc intake ID-850's ZL1 fuel pump with ADM FPCM JRE Supertensioner Custom tune from Jannetty JRE race scoop 18" Z06 rims with 305/45R18 MT drag radials Running 9.5 lbs of boost and PB at the track is an 11.46 at 120.55 mph with a 1.62 60' time. I'm running the stock 20's up front at the track and I'd love to shed some weight but not sure if this can be done for $500? Should I upgrade to the BMR/Pfadt rear trailing arms and toe rods? What about cooling my IAT? Not sure about running meth all of the time but I'm open to suggestions. I realize $500 isn't that much money at this level, but help me spend it wisely. ![]() Thanks guys! John |

It will strengthen it and might show up on the time slip. Auto cars do better with stock suspension than manual cars do. It will also tighten up the handling as well.

I'd say suspension for sure. Subframe bushings, Upper control arm bushings, Trailing arms and toe rods. All together will take you a little over budget, but will definitely help you out!
Feel free to call, PM or email me anytime with questions. Best regards, Tyler 888-308-6007 |

All of the above I have done to mine. While the cradle is lowered you can knock the upper control arm bushings out.

I've only had it on a very stingy Mustang dyno. Best run on 91 octane tune was 480 rwhp and 465 ft/lbs. Runs pretty good at the track with these (relatively low) numbers. Plus, I'm running full body weight.

11syn3rgy,
That is about right. I have similar mods only a 3.6 pulley and no headers and I'm getting about 447 rwhp on CMS's Mustang dyno. I am told the stock cam is really a limiting factor and upgrading that will really free up the power. But first I need better wheels and rubber. |

![]() I'd love to get a cam, but I don't really wanna part with another $2K. So many things need to get upgraded in order to do it right. I think I'll just tweak it here and there and be happy with a mid-11's DD. |
