Questions: 02 Camaro SS vs amaro CZL1
My last Camaro was the 2002 SS. Sold it. The 02 SS was great but the seat was stiff and uncomfortable. Make long story short I'm looking to buy another Sports Car and curious how the new ZL1 compares to the old 2002 Camaro SS? Seats better? Comfy? How does the ZL1 drive compared to the 02 SS?
Overall what is good and bad is the new ZL1 vs the 02 SS? Thanks in Advance. Last edited by Ray_Cam_SS; 05-28-2014 at 08:15 AM. |

I'm not sure where to start. I had a 99 Z28 and the cars are extremely different IMO. I will say the standard seats are way better than the 93-02 f body seats. I don't have the Recaros but I'm sure they're nice.
Driving the 2 cars isn't really comparable. You really should test drive to feel the improvements. There's a 20 year technology gap and a new GM regime between the 2 cars. Independent rear suspension with magnetic ride is in a whole other league compared to the old f body. And power is also on another level (in zl1 trim).

02 SS Great car!!! But the ZL1 is in a different league, it can be a kitten or a tiger at the press of a button. You will love it!
