LSA supercharger - Dealer install

Looking at the Chevy website for their performance parts and they have the LSA supercharger listed for LSX engines. When I searched for dealer locations to purchase, only 3 show up and none are the dealers that are close to me, so my assumption that not all dealers will sell/install these parts via their service department but the ones that are listed will. I plan to call one tomorrow (so happens, it's the dealer I purchased from) and find out details including if it can be installed on a L99.

Has anyone researched this?

Yes I had mine put on a M6 car 3 years ago by a dealer in Irving TX.. Clay Cooley Chevrolet Was called Q chevy at the time.. I didn't want to wait for the ZL1 or pay the higher price. The options they gave me were SLP, Eforce, and magnum.

The actual warranty for the supercharger at the time was better on the Eforce.. I bought a extended warranty for 5 years that covered the cars internals and the Eforce had a warranty on it for at least 3..

They suggested to get it tuned right and they did it for me at a local shop 21st century muscle. I have had but 1 small problem with a ck engine light that was due to a intake leak between the blower and head. It was fixed for free with a rent car..

So yes its out there.. but Im sure it depends on the car..

I think I paid 48k this included the camaro 2ss, the 21inch 4k rims, sunroof and GM performance cat back as the package on the car.. The supercharger, the extended warranty, and the install was just under 10K.. this also had a 400 tune in it..

I just added headers and a CAI I can't believe the difference..I can't wait til next fall and winter for cooler weather.

I'm in the process of getting injectors, fuel pump and a smaller pulley will do E 85 tune to maximize power. I had the money set and ready to go and found out that my POS wife had hidden the fact some people renting our house feel behind and instead of telling me so I could evict them let them slide and had to cover 3000 in morgage payments I say pos this isnt the first money situation! If I didn't have kids this would be like that country song about fishing! sorry to get off topic but I are pissed! going to dallas saturday to evict >:(

If I had to do it over I would tell them to put a ZL1 pump and larger injectors in and finance that then if you do more work later u will be good to go.. maybe the 1LE suspension package to.. I'm a cash only guy now so when I pay for a mod its cash only I learned my lesson on my Aniv LT4 camaro z28 put alot into that car so no more CC mistakes!

2010 was return of camaro so non of this info was really available.. so atleast you got that going for ya..

Thanks, EDFHOBBIES
Before I bought my 14 SS, I was trying to get the numbers to work out on a new 13 ZL1....but in Dec of 2013, the dealer wasn't moving much on price. So, I was going to go a ProCharger route and have a shop install/tune but I'm still concerned about voiding the warranty. I started reading that some Chevy dealers will install and warranty it - so I just started looking into this route. Plus, one of the dealers that does install SC's is the dealer I purchased from....just not that close to me. Did you receive any HP/TQ estimates from the dealer with the SC or a Dyno run to measure it for real?

In regards to a fuel pump to support the boost, I was thinking a MSD fuel pump voltage booster. My goal is just a modest 520-550 RWHP as this car is also my daily driver. I already have a CAI, Hi Flow cats, and a cat back system.

No the dealers don't state numbers.. but all superchargers state what they add to the flywheel. With a moderate tune. My tuner picked up 75hp safely over the tuner that came with the car. You know the options are limitless. . I would pick up a used 2010 fron the lot.. and put a GMHP LXB15 motor and blower or a LS9.. then sell the ls3 to a hot rod guy.. you come out way on top And dealer can finance and the ls9 and the 2010 would have warranty The ls9 would be warranty heck you can even have a zl1 bumper.. I bet a used 2010 and motor would be close to adding a supercharger to a 2014 car.

?? I already have my 14 SS - not looking to buy another car. If I could afford to do that I would have bought a ZL1 instead of the SS.

It won't be cheap and you are pretty much better off with a different kit that offers a warranty if that is what you want. Or wait for the warranty to expire then go crazy with good go fast goodies.

Sorry I thought you all ready had one. You should of done it at the get go.. The sales people can push warranty things for sales of a new car.. but its up to the service manager to.. All GMHP Parts are warrantied.. but not sure if it will void factory warranty.. I had them put it on my papers that the motor the supercharger everything covered bumper to bumper and after 36K you pay 100 deductible.

If you get a warranty with a dealer installed LSA blower, it will be from that dealer so be careful. Make sure it is clear and in writing. The GMPP parts have their own warranty but that is on the parts, not your motor/drivetrain. When you add up the blower, control modules, accessories, etc the LSA isn't the cheapest option, or the best performing one.

I know - depending on types that they offer (I have heard of one dealer that offers the E-Force) and support, I may just go with my original plan of a ProCharger and forsake the warranty.
