Question abouot car shows

Gents,

Been to a few car shows this spring and learning a bit about how these things work.
Planning on showing my ZL1 BUT..............can anyone help me understand why people put stuffed animals and miniature cars etc around or in their cars?
Is this something judges want to see?

Most car shows that I have been to is a people's award.
You are showing the general public and all the participants too.

Just enter in one and have fun.
Just look over the class you should enter.

Last month I entered one in Camaro & Firebird 1990 and newer on line (helps save time). What they did not tell me was they canceled the class and put every one in the Camaro & Firebird class. I felt bad about all the older 1960's and dropped out , out of respect. I reentered in Factory Muscle. I took first place.

Its more about the experience.

Last weekend I entered in 1990 and Newer Class.
There were 52 cars in this class, including c5 vettes, zo6 vettes, c51 vettes, Cobra's, Mopar Challenger's and a lot of new muscle.
I took first place. The trophy was a section of a motor laser cut and painted on a stand.

The reason you see wild and crazy stuff is it stops the general public long enough for them to take a look.
If you like doing this (Car Show Display Inc.) makes some serious show displays. Sean is the contact. Just send over your pictures and info and he will surprise you.
Here are some pics.

Yeah, as trite as it may seem, points can be salvaged by having props around your car. People tend to remember cars with a theme or with memorable trinkets around them.
AMMUSCLE has a full-on pro-style setup. That is awesome!

For the beginner, I would suggest:
1. List your upgrades and mods. A nice cardboard display help people to understand what they are looking at.
2. Show as much of your mods as possible. This is why you see mirrors under cars. If people can actually see what you have done, it helps.
3. Never underestimate the power of presentation. I see the same guy all the time at shows with an old VW bug. He has a surf board on the top rack. He brings a beach chair, blanket, beach ball, and even an inflatable palm tree. It gets him noticed by the spectators and gets him theme points with the judges.
