you need to rebalance the chassis to take advantage of the tires.
Can someone expand on what this means?
Whatever is entailed, I'm not interested in modding my car. I'm just curious what he is saying (more specifically)

prob have to do with the spring/damping rates and sway bars/etc. to control turn-in, etc. to get as much grip out of the better compound.

So, a tune on MRC might fix it.
No one knows how to do that though . . .

Basically talking about sway bars. The ZL1 is setup for a staggered wheel and tire setup where the Z28 has a square setup.

I'd call it gm "marketing" to justify the cost and cement the Z28 as their ultimate corner carver. Their was very little information in that interview.

Well the cheapest route would be to go with the 1LE front bar. You could also go with the Z28 bars when they are released (not sure if they have yet or not) or the best option would be to go with a good set of adjustable sway bars like the ones from Detroit Speed. That way you can dial it in to your tire selection and driving style.

Feel free to call, PM or email me anytime with questions.

Best regards,

Tyler

Not trying to hi-jack a thread, but would this be viable for the 1LE? Considering that WAS designed with a square setup in mind. I'd love to get 305's at all 4 corners on mine.

It's the ride hight, springs and dampers, rear end, sway bars, brakes and computer set up. The whole package is tuned together.

We did have a discussion on the "mule" ZL1 that GM built with some Z/28 stuff for comparison. It was very obvious, to me anyways, that GM did not want to release those mule numbers. I have no doubt the Z/28 was faster but as I said in the other thread I'd sure like to know how much faster.

It's not going to be cheap to make a Camaro like a Z28. By the way, the Z/28 does not say Camaro anywhere on it! But on the engine cover.
