New Approach to the Problem

I installed a pair of Phastek Performance rock guards on the front of my Z. I used 3M tape to get a good seal between the car and the guards, and used the clips that came with the guards.

The problem is, the clips are pushing the liner on the inside of the wheel-well up. Is this normal? If you have a Z that you have installed front rock guards on and have used the clips, does your inner wheel-well look like mine see (photos).

Id also like to see what the liner looks like without the clips, so if someone maybe has or could send me photos of the inner lining of your wheel-well, where it rests on the lip, that would be great. I would like to see if the lining sits a little high in those spots anyway.

Ive thought about removing the clips, but am afraid I will scratch the paint on the lip as I try to remove the clips. Any photos of the inner wheel well where the liner meet the lip from the passenger compartment to the top of the wheel well with and without the clips would be great. thank you for anyone and everyone help. I really appreciate it
