Proper Way For 5th Gen Camaros To Be Lifted In Air For Service?

Hi everyone.
I just bought 8 quarts of Mobil 1 Extended Performance 5w 30 and a Mobil 1 M1-113 Oil Filter and I'm going to take my car down the street to have the Oil & Filter changed and something got me thinking,... Is there a proper way that our car should be lifted in to the air when its being worked on?

When my car was up in the air being worked on by the guys at Florida Speed & Power for the Exhaust I took some pictures (See Attachments) a month later Itook a long trip up north to Michigan and the bracket for the Tunnel Plate came loose so I took it to a local place up there to have it tighten up and while it was up in the Air I noticed that it looked like Ground Effects or whatever it is that is below the door area was being squished a very little bit, It didn't leave any marks or damage but while it was up in the air you could clearly see it was under pressure.

So before I go have my oil change I want to make sure that my Camaro is being lifted in the right location in all 4 points of the car so if anyone could helpe with this I would appreciate your help,... My pictures Only show the 2 Front Points of the Car and Not the Rear.

Thank You.

Jim

I bet your car sounds real nice.

If you are worried about a untrained mechanic ruinning your car, take it to a professional. Take it to the dealer for your oil change. At least you will sleep better at night knowing it was done right.

Yeah the car sounds freaking awesome, I've even pulled the fuse for the mufflers also for the extra effect.

Sure I can take it to the dealer and let them change it with their Recycled Additive added, Dexos Oil and have my Switchblade Key taken away from me, or I could buy my own Brand Name Oil and Filter and ask questions on a very reputable forum I belong to with people I trust and to hopefully give me help and honest straight answers to questions I might have, Thats why i like this forum and the people here and continue to tell others about this place also. I just want to make sure its done correctly.

It is against the law for a dealer to replace any part with out your consent. I just had some warranty work done and they tried to change my key. I told them it is against the law and I will sue you if you touch it.

I have done a lot of research on engine oils. For a non turbo car, we do not need a full synthetic oil. Dexos scored very high in all categories. I am using Dexos in all my vehicles.

I never said Dexox was bad, its even Dexos Approved in Mobil 1.
Anyway,... I see I'm not getting the results I had thought I'd get with this thread when Ihad started it and it seems to be having the opposite effect.

Anyway,... Happy Halloween all.

yep its lifted correctly. you want rubber pads. dont let them lift it with the regular metal pads it will take the coating off and leave bare metal. the fronts are the torque boxes and lift the rear by the front sub frame bushing pads if they can if not the flat spots befor the rear wheel wells are fine.

I put the two front lift pads under where the back of the front subframe connects and the rear pads where the spare tire jack would go before the rear wheelwell. The lift I was using wouldn't reach the rear frame bushings. No issues doing this.
