Piedmont Dragway 2014 2LT/RS A6
I went out to my local 1/8 mile this past Thursday. I hadn't taken my 2014 to the dragstrip before this. My car is a completely stock 2014 2LT/RS A6 Camaro. I had been to a 1/8 mile dragstrip before but that was in my 2011 which I traded in a few months ago. I didn't do to bad, I just have to work on my R/T times as they weren't they greatest. I got about 6 passes by the end of the night. I averaged about 9.5 ET and was able to dial in my R/T to about a .2 or so on average. This is the 3rd time I have ever run on a dragstrip. Definitely want to do this on a more constant bases. I was the only newer car, beside my mom in her 2013 2LS. It was her first time so she only ran her car twice. I beat her both times, but I'm not going to brag because it was her first time out at a dragstrip. Here is a picture of my best run of the night. Like I said my R/T weren't the greatest so go easy on me there.
Here are some pictures from the night. |

You should have let Mom win LOL. You need to go on the third yellow that will help your R/T don't wait for the green.

Yea I know at first my problem was I waiting to see the 3rd yellow to hit the gas and eventually by the end of the night I figured out I need to hit the gas when the 3rd yellow shows up. Hope that makes sense. With an A6 transmission should I just leave the car in Sport Mode or actually up shift on my own with the paddles. I really didn't see a difference in time when I left in sport mode vs shifting myself. When I was shifting I was up shifting at about 6000 rpm.

Do what works best for you. Some do good with the paddle shift. Keep trying in spot mode and T/C off and see how that work's.
