Finally got my Camaro! - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Finally cleared QC in early August and both the dealer and I took delivery of my car late last Friday. I drove down to Burlingame to pick it up and was pretty well smitten by the Camaro. I can't believe how great it drives and how good it looks. Got home around midnight, so I didn't have much opportunity to drive it, and then we had company on Saturday. On Sunday, I spent about 4 1/2 hours detailing the car with Zaino products. It looks fantastic.

So I drove it to work today and took a couple friends to lunch. I park the car and some dude immediately comes from the other end of the parking lot, eyeballs my car as he's walking around it from back to front - I wave and say hi. He just ignores me, finishes his walkaround and walks away, calling to a buddy - "It looks just like a Mustang!" I wanted to

Here's a few pics of my Friday evening at Putnam Chevrolet in Burlingame. Three of us from camaro5 were there at the same time to pick up our cars. I couldn't get a great pic of all 3, but Rob's is the IOM, mine is the CGM, and Brian's is the Yellow one in back. I haven't had a chance to take any better pics yet, but hopefully tonight or tomorrow.

I live 2 blocks from Putnam. No one ever tells me when they're picking up their cars. sheesh.

The RJT they have on the corner looks tempting, but it's not my color. =)

Grats on your car thouguh. You really should have come to the cruise this past weekend!

Doh! Sorry... I didn't realize that. For some reason I thought you lived up in the Sacramento area because you mentioned a Roseville dealer visit.

As for the cruise, I didn't end up driving much this past weekend because we had friends over, but moreover I've been away from the forums for several weeks now and didn't know about it.

hehe, well welcome back!

Yeah, my parents own a house in El Dorado Hills. I live in Burlingame and work in SF, but visit them often. Next month there's a bunch of events that will be planned including the cherries jubilee event. Should be about 20+ norcal people going and a lot of SoCal people going as well.

Putnam has an RJT? I can't find it on their site. I'm in Redding looking for an RJT. Anyone have any info on it?

Congrats and enjoy!! Nice ride but then again I think I'm biased towards all Camaros.
