Man, tell them to shove it where the sun don't shine. Price gouging on a desireable car is pretty low in my book of low's.

Find a dealership that will work with you, if they're going to be elitists, then fart in their show room on the way out.

Make sure to eat some beans a good 30 minutes before-hand, just in case

Pick your battles.
This one isn't it.
It's only a car and if you're patient one'll fall right into your lap at some point.

Easy to say since I'm not pining for one but I still remember my youthful consumer-driven fever to get some thing or other. I drove my dear, late wife crazy on many occasions. The poignant post script to it all is that she was right on every point when counseling me to be patient.

There are A LOT of dealers that are out there that make money because of QUANTITY of sales. Those guys will make more money and more sales and get more allocations. I know 5 people that are good friends and we all got our Camaros LESS than MSRP! Don't buy on impulse! Search for a dealer with INTEGRITY then make your purchase! Look on the good dealers list!

Why are you going back to them?

Buy it somewhere else. They will still have to cover the warranty there.

Sucks that you have this hassle and wait but don't let anyone screw you over.

Several people ordered from the dealer here (on the board, the guy flew out from San Diego - erasergod I think) and got or ordered a car here and picked it up for MSRP. Look around some more or try EBAY/Autotrader.

STAY AWAY from the Valley dealerships. Call Joe Machacek at classic Sugarland or Eric Hall at Classic Grapevine. They will take care of you.

Got mine from Classic in Grapevine, and was out the door on my 2SS for < $33K. They'll give you MSRP and honor any GM discounts. Don't pay more when you can get it for MSRP or less by taking a little drive. I worked with Toby but talked with Eric and both will take care of you.
