Considering gears advice needed
Hey guy been really thinking about slapping on the 1le gears from gm. Is this part only warranties in v8 camaros? Or will it hold up in a 6spd v6 as well since we can use the ss gears? Also the performance catalog claims a 13 percent torque gain for manuals, by my calculations that's about a 30ish mechanical torque gain. I know these cars are a little on the heavier side and any torque helps. Question being is a gain of thirty going to be very noticeable?

For your warrenty question, you should ask the dealer who will install them. The only way they are covered is if you have a dealer install them. I know for me that would have cost me about an extra 1000 dollars. I can get a used rear end for that. As for feeling the torque increase, yes you can feel it. It was one of the best mods I did.

Right and it's worth the extra grand for me bc I just bought this car and it's still under warranty. Kits good to know the torque is definitely felt. But I have a v6 I was wondering if anyone with a v6 could chime in as well. Btw beautiful car em1/ss

I don't imagine it will be a problem, but you also need the dealer to recalibrate the ECM to correct the spedometer after a gear swap. You will want to be sure the dealer can do that for you too.
