2014 SS Front Grill Issue

Hey guys,

New to the forum and a new Camaro owner - I just purchase a 2014 SS 2SS 1LE (AGM) and I was washing my car and notices that a piece of plastic at the bottom of the lower intake grill (drivers side - inside) was installed a little crooked (see images attached) - the passangers side is perfect. The plastic piece is raised up a little bit, not flush with the bottom lip as it looks like it should be

It is a little nit picking thing and I went to the dealer to inquire about it getting fixed or adjusted and I looked at a another 2014 SS there on the lot and it was exactly the same - kinda weird. I was wondering if any other 2014 Camaro SS owners noticed the same thing?

Add a race scoop, you'll have to cut out the messed up part. Problem solved, problem staying solved.

I just notice this on mine. Both sides. It's weird. Any ideas as to why it does this? It doesn't look like it was engineered to do this but I don't see what is supposed to keep it from doing this.
