OEM ZL1 insert for stock SS Hood?

Like the title says, will a OEM Zl1 insert fit a stock SS hood?

I don't think it would work. It may be too wide, you would have to cut a LOT of the hood out, and then have to figure a way to mount it because the bolts drop down. Be better off getting an OEM hood for it.

New would be just a little over $700 from a dealer.

The OEM insert will not fit a SS hood, The ZL1 hood is 3+ in wider where the cowl is, so the insert is wider then the SS hood cowl lines.

P.S. we have a hood C-redfly if you need it.
