what didn't you get?

Question for all of you
I'm going to order a 15 ZL1 is there anything you didn't get on your car that you wish you would have?

Thanks

The stripes.

I tried to keep it basic but I'm wishing I had done a stripe.

I wish I did NOT get the sunroof.
Would rather have had the extra headroom.

Would have liked to try out a set of recaros. But I wouldn't order them without sitting in them first.

The main option list is pretty small. Roughly:

-Black or Silver Wheels
-Sunroof (yes/no) - I went with no, don't fit well with helmet with the sunroof
-Carbon Fiber Insert (yes/no) Depending upon color, but usually looks good
-Recaro Seats (yes/no) - You should sit in them, love mine, but a few people don't like them....
-Microfiber wheel/shifter (yes/no) you can always add this layer for similar price.
-Automatic or Manual
-Nav (yes/no)

After that you got the stripes and some dealer installed stuff (cargo mats, ambient lighting, etc....)

I doubt too many people miss much in the way of option besides a transmission choice (and the stripes it seems). The Recaros just started, so lots of people want them, but couldn't have gotten them in 2012 or 2013.

Do NOT get the moon roof. I should have looked into it before I decided to get it. Less headroom (I'm 6'3") and the glass panel just looks stupid sticking up in the air when it's open. Seriously? My other cars have a moonroof and it SLIDES back into the roof, leaving a flat profile on the roof line when it's open. DId anyone at GM think this through? It's the first sunroof ever offered in a Camaro and it should be the last.

By far that is my biggest disappointment with the ZL1. Other than that, I WILL be getting the Recaros. If they were available in the 2012, I would have paid the extra 2 grand to have them. I have sat in them and I am really wishing I had them. So, I will put them on the mod list.

Other than those two things, I have the perfect muscle car. I am a very happy ZL1 owner...

I'm assuming all models are the same, but is THE SUNROOF IN THE zl1 any different then the other models. My ZL1 came without the sunroof but i'm currently driving a rental 6 cylinder Camaro with a sunroof and have no problem at all. i"m 6' 00...

I have a 2014 Ashen Gray ZL1, Recaro's, Standard transmission, Nav, Microfiber inserts and blacked out rims. I ordered the car with the options I wanted and could not happier! Personally I do not like sunroofs, did not get the sunroof and have absolutely NO regrets about it.

Yes they are all the same. I don't think most people have a problem with the sunroof/headroom on the street, it's when wearing a helmet that the issue comes up. I had a 2010 SS with a sunroof and I'm only 5'8 and could not get the exact seat position I wanted on the track because of the helmet hitting the sunroof. My ZL1 does not have a sunroof.

No sunroof for me either! I wanted to save that money when I ordered mine for future mods. No micro-fiber either.I have looked at other cars in the past that had material close to that and it looked like it was wore out after a while of driving it and it always seemed to look dirty. Got to get the carbon fiber hood insert though because it just makes the car look great,at least on mine it did!

This was a pricey venture for me; However for the money that I spent I felt that it was important to get the car exactly how I wanted it.

Three things were essential (to me) in ordering my ZL1; The first item was the Recaro Sport Seat option, followed by the ECF insert, and then the polished wheels. I ordered my ZL in the color and transmission type that I wanted, and the rest was history.

well they advertise this 60K car's interior as "leather wrapped"; So I would have liked them to make good on that, instead of pawning off on me a Cheap rubber e-brake handle.
