LFX cams

I know there are a few people out there with the LFX cams. I tried searching on YouTube for some sound clips of them. I'd love a choppier idle I think it sounds great. I did find a Holden with some mace cams it's purple and sounds mean! But I'm not sure if that model had the LFX or another engine variant. Would really love to hear some one's ideal if they have cams. I know they've been a pain in the ass to tune but maybe some one like overkill can figure them out and get some decent power out of them. Any thoughts? Ideas? I'm really tempted to buy some.

nope....worthless right now. Nobody can seem to get a decent tune on them, and MACE hasnt been helping at all. not worth the money and labor for them yet. Ghosted and I are working on a few things though...so be on the lookout!

Sad .. One of the best performing v6 platforms on the market and no major company is working on cams for these motors . We don't even truly know the potential of these 3.6 engines when pushed to the limit yet

I found a company that does regrinds of the cams. (They really only work on ford v6 engines and have made good progress for the v6 mustangs) and they even talked of doing a stroker kit for us but as you guys know we would need new Pistons, rods, and everything else. So it would get pricey but would give us about .3 more liters of displacement. They said they could probably work the heads a bit and while the cam profile would be smaller. It would kinda make the valves bigger? At least that's my way of understanding it. And I know the cam didn't get bigger LLT to LFX but I think I read somewhere that part of the hp gain comes from bigger valves.

That video was pretty informative as far as getting a look inside the cylinder head design. I wonder if that would even really be worth porting?

I think I've read somewhere where GM has done about as good a job as you can from the factory but I may be wrong

What power level were you at before and after you added your cams?

I believe the gains showed themselves after he added forced induction. But don't take my word for it.

Oh yeah that's right he went FI after cams. I was talking to will and it seems like with these cams the more air the better they respond especially since they only make power way at the top end.
