Arrggghh! What color is it? - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Three times now, I've seen a Camaro in traffic but I don't know which color I'm seeing. Compared to the photos on Chevy, it doesn't look like either Inferno Orange or Victory Red. It's more of a reddish-orange in between the two colors.

Whatever it is... it's BEAUTIFUL!

Inferno orange does not always look that bright, Inferno Orange is my guess

that orange takes on many color..depends on the sun

I have seen IOM look like a tomato on shady days and a fireball in the sun! It has moods!

IOM can look redish at times, but my VR doesn't ever look orangish. My 5 bucks is on IOM.

its probably Red Jewel Tint. Does it look like the color of a dr. pepper can?

Yeah its definately IOM, my car flips so many different colors. And at night people say I thought you were geting a orange camaro, thats red

it's the same with the RJT...in bright sun it looks like "candy apple red", yet in the shade or at night it can look like burgundy....that's what makes the RJT, IOM, and ABM so COOL...they look different in every different light..........even depending upon the angle the sun hits.........

Look under the camaro photo's section and you will see all the colors of the actual cars in the daylight, that should let you know the color you saw.

If there is a doubt whether it is Red or Orange or Reddish Orange, it is an IOM. In the sun, IOM is just an amazing color IMO. I gloomy weather, it changes to tomato/pumpkin soup color. In my garage at night with just the overhead light on, it looks Red.

I had an IOM next to ours and it was really sunny. It didn't look that orange, I took some pics and it really looks the same a VR

All Metallic cars that aren't Black, Silver, white or Gold have different shades in different lighting. For example the sunset orange 98-02 cars are an amazing bright orange in direct sunlight but look's like a rust color in the shade. Navy Blue cars have an awesome blue color in sunlight but look darker in non direct light and looks like a Blue/Black mix color under overcast skys.
