Cranking issue

Had my motor rebuilt with forged pistons a couple months ago. Ive ran into an issue of cranking the car up after a hour or so of interstate driving. its real sluggish doesnt wanna turn over, sometimes the check engine light comes on but no codes can be found. i can let it sit for about 10 mins then itll fire up. not sure if its the battery(sometimes its a little slow cranking) or the tune. anyone else ever ran into something like this?

It's probably in the tune. It's a common problem. There are settings for all sorts of cranking conditions. I'd hit your tuner up for a fix. He's not done.

You can specifically mention "hot start".

I had that problem and it ended up being Cranking Airflow. Next time you crank hot, try this. Push your gas pedal in about 50%. This opens your throttle body. If it cranks better, then your tuner should be able to fix that in the Cranking Airflow Table.

I had the same issue and it was the battery. Go get your battery tested.
