Ground clearance - height of the bottom between wheels
I intend to buy a 2013 ZL1 and i am concerned about the height below the car.
I have found posts about ground clearance on the front, but nothing about the height between the front and rear wheels. My issue is accessing my place, there is like a high speed hump, and I am worried to damage the bottom part of the car. Could a very nice owner of a ZL1 tell me what is the minimum height right behind the front wheels, in the middle of the wheelbase and just before the rear wheels? If possible, these measurements should consider any element below the car and not necessarily the side of the car. I assume that it is the same for a 2014 model. It would help me a lot. Many thanks |

My car is stock, and the front splitter is the only part that hits on driveways. I did add the front splitter washers and these do scrap, even when driving very slowly and at an angle on some driveways. I never hit between the wheels when going over speed bumps.

You should be okay stock. My car is lowered 1.25 and I don't have issues with speed-bumps. The only time I did "bottom out" was because I had a passenger and approached it without slowing down enough.

I have a 2015 and I assume it is the same ride height as previous years.
4 5/8", 4 1/2" (4 3/8"), 4 3/4". The lowest point behind the front tire is the rear of the sub frame. 4 5/8". The lowest point in the middle of the car are the 4 band clamp studs on the exhaust. They are 4 3/8", but could be cut off an 1/8 of an inch. That would make the catalytic converters and the studs the lowest point in the middle of the car at 4 1/2". The lowest point in front of the rear tires is 4 3/4". Hope this helps.
