Question RS vs. Non-RS Front Grills... Are they different?

I've been noticing this a lot, and I don't know if it's an optical illusion or what... but it always seems to me that the grill of a non-RS car is narrower than the grill of a car with the RS package... does anyone else see this? It's been driving me nuts!

You answered your own question with the pic's. RS has the Halo's and Red SS Badging. The grill's themselves are the same.

The LS and LT models have a narrower grille than the SS model. The RS package does not make a difference in the grille (outside of the badging on the grille).

IMO it's an optical illusion, the non RS headlights appear larger making the grill look narrower .....

Right... There is difference in grill. The SS just has a bigger chin.

Are you talking about the lower grilles in your first sentence? Because all the upper grills are the same. And this thread is about the upper grill.

The lower opening is larger and the SS does have a more pronounced chin.

Here is a pic from a while back.

Yep I know the difference between the SS and the V6 front fascias... but as someone said, I was questioning the top grill. Just by comparing the top 2 pictures above, it looks like the non-RS car is "squinting" more I guess.

I'm sure it's just an illusion, but I've noticed it quite a few times, haha
