Cheap wheels/tires for storage only

Hello

Need recommendations on a cheaper wheel set along with tires to just get through a winter storage season. I'd like to take off my wheels/tires from the 1LE and store them inside as it can get below 0*F in Michigan. I just need something for the car to sit on during the winter months.

Maybe there's something out there where tires wouldn't be needed?

Any input or advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Really? Wouldn't the springs take a toll after a while from hanging?

I stored my goody's for 2 winters with no issues (so far anyway - just checked yesterday), all I did was put down a tarp then parked on carpet squares I found in the unheated garage - your colder in MI but I don't think you will have any issues as long as you let them warm up before driving

I also put cheap rubber welcome mats down for condensation then carpet squares on top of them. Parked the car on them and leave her set until it spring. No issues so far with the Goodyears. My friend had done the same with his ZL1 the past 2 winters and no problems.

Please take your car off the jack stands your suspension is not designed to be kept in that position for a prolonged period of time.

Mine has been parked in my unheated garage on the concrete floor on the goodyears and they have been just fine. We have had temps below zero a few times this year also.

You can put the car on jackstands if you do it properly.

You support the control arms, NOT the body. This way the suspension is still loaded.

An easier way is to park the car on styrofoam. Benefits are 2-fold: Keep tire out of condensation, and the foam molds to the tire, helping to prevent flat-spotting.

^^^This.

Goodyear recommends letting them warm up(above 40 degrees) for 24 hours before using.
