Wow, 7.5 to 5.8 Seconds is a pretty big spread. That's like saying I hope to get an F- to a C in a class.

I'm not so interested as in the source of the numbers, I'd like to know how you got the trim levels? Is there a credible source for the trims?
and for Stovt, the LS should be 7.5, the LT should be 5.8. That's why those numbers meant. It's not a spread. Welcome IZZY, I don't want to sound like a flamer, but with all the speculation around here, it's hard to come out and say something from GM without at least quoting a source. Would you mind either posting a link to your source, or pointing us in the right direction so I can take your post seriously? I really want to. Thanks! |

That's what I thought at first, but the second part lists both the LS and LT with a 296 hp V6. So unless they have dramatically different rear gearing, it just doesn't make sense.

Here's the thread on Camaroz28.com... he doesn't quote a source there either.

It should be noted that in his post on C28 he included a target price for the SS:
27K 21-23K for the V6 models if I remember correctly. Last edited by LS 1st gen; 04-17-2008 at 10:05 AM. |

Does this mean there is either NO Z28, or the Z28 will be a top dog; since it's been said the GT500 was a benchmark, and clearly these numbers aren't such, does this mean Z28 is in the pipeline and will appear in a couple years?...
