anyone try the launch mode yet? I am waiting until the break-in period is over before I try but I was just curious.

Also is there anyone else who would like to see a digital display of what gear the car is in with the manual transmission?

ME! I have always said cars should have this. So easy. Then i drove my buddies new 370Z... it has it. I was so impressed. I thouht I was the only one who wanted to see that!

As for launch mode, not yet. only have 500 miles so far.

The DIC doesn't show your gear in the manuals? In my 2LT auto, the bottom left corner of the DIC shows D(rive), S(port), or M1-M6.

I think he was referring to the actual gear and not the tranny mode. As in the digital diplay would show "1" if you were in 1st gear, "2" in 2nd...etc.etc.
It would be nice to have but I will probably hardly ever use it. I know what gear I am in all the time. But I had always wished this feature was available on all sportsbikes when I was still riding.

I pretty much know what gear I'm in, so yes and no. Would be handy, or cool just to see it, but you can tell by the speed/rpm/sound, and the general location of the shifter.

I agree with the above posts but just thought I would see what others thought, I know what gear I am in all the time but I do not really want to look at my digital speed in the DIC and speed on the gauge as well

I'm referring to the actual gear too. M1 shows when I put it in 1st gear, M2 in 2nd...

ahhh, that is a nice feature on the automatic Camaro then. Cool. If your LT has it, the SS Auto would likely have it too, no? Anyway, the OP was asking about the Manual not the "auto"-manual.

Yeah, I'm surprised that the manuals apparently don't have that. What DO they show in the bottom left corner of the DIC?

nothing. bottom right is compass, center is odometer on mine but the left is empty. Well it shows the door open if you open the door...

I believe it is only on the 2SS but I'm not positive. My husband tried to launch it at the track and it did nothing. Maybe he didn't do it right, but he read the directions in the manual. He did better without the launch mode. I'm not sure if it is only on the 6 speed either. I have not gotten brave enough to try it. I love the speed it has with the manual. And to think I wanted an automatic!! I am so glad my husband wanted the manual!!! We love it!
