Since I got my new Camaro SS a couple days ago I've traveled 148 miles. My dash gauge showed 1/2 tank so I decided to fill it up. My dealer had filled my tank at delivery. The fill up took exactly 9 gallons. This was 90% local driving and I have to admit I was acting like a teenager much of the time. I didn't figure it out but I think this is about what G.M. advertised for local driving. Again, If I tried I bet I could have done much better.

Same, just passed 160 miles... right around 16.8 mpg, all city driving. Better than my Evo 9.

Unfortunately my measly 2 mile commute kills my mileage... I really need to just ride my bike to work and save the car for rainy days.

When I picked up my 2SS M6, though, it was averaging 20+ mpg for the first 15 or so miles.

I drove 90 miles to New Era Performance (mostly highway averaging between 55-90) with some city= 23.6mpg

with the DOD tuned out , same drive , same conditions = 22.0mpg but with the AC running

These numbers all sound pretty low. Is anyone even getting close to the 29mpg hwy they advertise?

Cruise control on 70, Vegas to L.A., LS3 w/M6. DIC showed 27.1 mpg.

Just got back from a 800 mile round trip and averaged 25.0 mpg on the highway and combined city/highway of 22.2 for the trip.

MPG has really improved with more miles on the car. Started out only managing to get 15.4 mpg city and now I'm getting between 18.5-19.4 mpg in the city.

2SS - with 3,600 miles on the odometer -Automatic.

29mpg is for the V6 (read: Non-SS). These should mostly be SS numbers, both manual and automatics.
