Question for those of you who have the T-Rex Phantom Grill

Is the output from the headlights greatly diminished?

Don't own one but I have seen them. It didn't look like the lights were diminished to me. The headlights still projected the same as if the grille wasn't there.

I installed that grill about a year ago. Doesn't do nothing to the light output imo.

Can you see the oem grill behind the t rex? I love the phantom style but I think if I saw the oem grill it would make me go nuts

You can see the oem grill if you bend down even with the grill of the car. And for whatever reason, the grill actually looks really good behind the overlay when you can see it.

I don't have the phantom (full-length) grille, I have the T-Rex half billet grille. Personally, it bugs the heck out of me when I see the OEM grille behind it. I mean it only happens at certain angles, but when it does I'm just like . Then again people say I'm a bit OCD, so it could just be me.

Go ahead and get it. IMO it makes the front end more agressive looking than say the heritage. And no, the stock grille is not noticeable. The halos look really good coming through it. Pull the trigger on it.

I am thinking about the full phantom. If the stock grill is painted flat black, it may help with the looks. Or maybe some fine black mesh in between?

phantom grille

here is a picture of mine. When you install, be sure you put some weatherstrip on the bottom so as not to rub the paint. Also it wouldnt hurt to trim the corners a bit. No issues with lighting and I have had this grille for over a year and a half. Ordered through T-Rex on-line.
