Who likes Top Gear (UK) and/or Fifth Gear?

If so, you may like a new show coming out January 2015 called Mud, Sweat & Gears. A good friend and I applied to be on the show and for whatever reason the producers thought we would make good TV soooo we got flown out to L.A. earlier this spring for a week of filming. Some of the most fun I had, and the hosts were HILARIOUS!

The general scope of the show is each episode there are two teams each with a captain: Johnny Smith (Host of Fifth Gear UK) and Tom "Wookie" Ford (Writer for Top Gear UK Magazine and former host of Fifth Gear UK), they each have a team of two car enthusiasts. Each episode has a "theme" the episode I was on had a theme of Olympics or in this case "Car-Lympics." We mod the cars and compete in three events/competitions.

EPISODE 5 – CAR-LYMPICS

MONDAY, FEBRUARY 23, 10:00PM ET

Cars that jump, wrestle and roll! Jonny Smith and Tom ‘Wookie’ Ford lead two teams and renovate regular cars into vehicular athletes. Jonny’s team consists of Chris and Sean from Houston, a couple of car enthusiasts barely out of college, while Wookie has a team of auto mechanics, PA and Jesse from San Diego. Head-to-head challenges include a car-sumo ring, a car steeplechase and car gymnastics. Both teams may be going for gold, but every race only has one winner.
