Another BA System Upgrade

I just picked up a '14 2SS/RS last week and about to upgrade the factory BA system. I decided to go against the grain a little bit and went with an Alpine setup over the JL. Ive had JL in the past and know it sounds good but I just went a little different and saved a little coin. I will upgrade the factory speakers after Christmas. Here is the equipment list Im going with:

Alpine PDR-V75 5 Channel w/remote bass control
Alpine SWS-10D4 10" Woofer

******** FARK, Box and Ampboard.

I already have 50-60 sq ft of fatmat in the garage to use on the interior. I'll take some pics but not sure if we really need them with all of the previous installs ive looked at. I want to give a big thanks to everyone who has done a previous write up on this as well. Been a big help to look at before I get started.

Have everything mounted. Figured I post a couple of pictures. I had to add some noise filters in between the RCA's and the amp, but other than that no issues. Now I just have to upgrade the front/rear speakers.

I have the PDR 4 channel and it is working great for me. I also have that same sub along with a 500w at 2ohm alpine mono block waiting for a spring install. will be getting one of the ******** enclosures to go with it. the Sub I have had previously and it is a very good performer for me in the past though in previous application I had it underpowered a bit. this time I have it matched up better, can't wait to hear the lows out of it

I have it run in 2ohm and the print out of my amp from Alpine shows my amp to perform at 411w RMS, while rated at 350. I have the smaller box from ******** and the woofer sounds really good. Im very happy with the sound. Now, just need to upgrade all of the other speakers.

did you have to cut any of the factory carpet on the inside of the trunk wall?

No mods to any of the carpet. I did have to cut the thick rubber mat that came in my trunk, so I could fit the speaker box. Everything else fit perfect with no mods.

cool..JL's OK, but I'd rather put in my old school Orions, Punch 200s, or Soundstreams(haven't decided yet). Stock(non-BA) system is OK for now(listen to exhaust note more).
