Coming home from work last night and some guy in a Ls2 GTO gets beside me and when i say wraps it up he holds the rev limiter for atleast 3 seconds.
Get to the redlight and by the sound of the car, id say Cam, Longtubes, definitely tuned and a 6 speed. he blows tires off at redlight then gets beside me saying he wants a 40 roll race. Well in all curiosity i let him honk it off and we jumped him by atleast a car and it seemed every 20mph more we gained a car on him.. So is it the weight? Oh and my car has some Mods..

id say the Ls3 plus boltons is the reason. You're almost the same weight if i am not mistaken, as well.

So they Are the same weight..
thats good to know. had a chance to trade for a twin turbo ls2 at one time, everyone told me to stay away from it

Yeah, both around 3700 or so. The Camaro can outweigh it easily, but makes up with the low end torque that the ls3 pushes out over the ls2. You should walk one all day.

They are not that slow imo. Long tubes,exh, cai and tune and they run . Pretty good. I race my cuzs and I'm stock 1le he is at my door the whole time. And then well you know lol. Goneeeeee!!!

Yeah agreed. But the OP is being sneaky and not listing mods. Im guessing clutch kit, cam, LTs, CAI and full exhaust, which should slap around the ls2 with the same mods.

So was the goat an m6? If so you got in his sweet spot of his setup and he jumped on it. You are auto run from dead stop next time. A stick on a roll has the upper hand. If that's the case.

Well the actual list is longer, Trickflow GenX 255 CC LS3 Heads
.650 Lift dual valve spring kit high volume oil pump ls7 timing gear, c5r timing chain comp lifters arp head bolts and fti triple disc Convertor w/ 3600 stall. and everything in between
