MAF trouble

Hey guys, I know that there are different MAF out there known as "strong" and "weak" and I know how to tell them apart. However, from everything I've read the only people that have had issues with a "weak" MAF is someone that has done modifications. I have a completely stock, 2011, 6-speed manual, LS with 74,000 miles. When idling and in first gear you can see the RPM's "bouncing", for lack of a better word. Sometimes when I am just sitting in the driveway in neutral the RPM's will drop low enough to shake the car a little. This can't be normal. Also, I just had my back right catalytic converter replaced under warranty and that has not helped. So could it be the MAF since my car is completely stock?
